Dr. Valerie Shirley Named 2025 Luce Indigenous Knowledge Fellow

Dr. Shirley’s work with the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP) at the University of Arizona centers on restoring Indigenous knowledge systems through curriculum and pedagogy. Through this prestigious fellowship, she will lead efforts to develop justice-centered curriculum grounded in Indigenous values, language, and community vision.
