Welcome to the               Research Leadership Institute!

The Research Leadership Institute (RLI) is a cohort-based faculty development program at the University of Arizona that is conducted each academic year to cultivate emerging research leaders.

The Research Leadership Institute (RLI) was designed to meet the unique demands of leadership in research and scholarship. The purpose of RLI is to empower emerging research leaders with tailored coaching and mentoring, dedicated time and space to engage in values-driven career planning, a supportive peer network and essential leadership tools suited to the academic research environment.

The RLI program guides participants in discovering their unique paths to becoming accomplished research leaders capable of driving the discoveries and innovations urgently needed in today's rapidly evolving world.

RLI has helped make informal information exchanges possible, such as faculty contributing as experts to the broader scholarly community through the Fulbright Program.
